Soloclef app privacy policy
Last updated: 11 October 2026
The Soloclef app is the phone and tablet app for Soloclef, a self-hosted notebook. It signs in to the Soloclef server at notes.danvics.com.
Your data
What you create or add in the app, your account, notebooks, sources, chats and notes, is kept on the Soloclef server you sign in to. That server's privacy policy covers it: for notes.danvics.com, notes.danvics.com/privacy.
On your phone
The app keeps a copy of what you open so it works offline, and drafts and changes not yet sent. Your sign-in is kept in the phone's secure storage. Signing out deletes all of it from the phone.
Permissions
- Camera and photos: only when you add a photo.
- Notifications: only if you allow them.
- Face ID or fingerprint: only if you turn on App lock.
- No microphone, location or contacts.
Updates and notifications
App updates are downloaded from Expo. Notifications are delivered through Expo, Apple and Google, and never contain your content.
No ads or tracking
The app has no ads, analytics or tracking, and no purchases.
Deleting your account
More → Profile → Delete account deletes your account and everything in it.
Children
The app is not directed at children.
